Improv pros: ‘Whose Live Anyway’ plays the Garde Thursday

From left, Joel Murray, Ryan Stiles, Greg Proops and Jeff B. Davis. (Submitted)

Sitcoms are all well and good, but I’d argue that “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” beats most of the shows in that genre when it comes to being flat-out hilarious.

You know the “Whose Line” scenario — essentially, improv.

Four of the show’s quickest wits are doing live shows together, dubbed “Whose Live Anyway?” and they are bringing it to the Garde Arts Center Thursday. We’re talking about Ryan Stiles, Greg Proops, Jeff B. Davis and Joel Murray.

The 90-minute performance consists of improvised comedy and songs, inspired by audience suggestions.

“Whose Live Anyway?,” 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Garde Arts Center, 325 State St., New London; $39 to $69 plus fees; gardearts.org, (860) 444-7373.
