Lenny Clarke brings his comedy to Comix Roadhouse

Lenny Clarke just might be the best thing about “Extended Family.”

He walks onto the set on this new NBC series starring sitcom heavyweights Jon Cryer and Donald Faison and steals scenes.

He plays Cryer’s father, who is much like Clarke’s customary acting persona — rough-hewn regular guy with a sharp sense of humor and a lot of common sense. Oh, and with Clarke’s signature Boston accent.

He developed an acting career (he also played Uncle Teddy on “Rescue Me” on FX), but Clarke was a standup comic first, and he’s in that latter guise when he comes to Mohegan Sun this week. He’ll do standup gigs Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the Comix Roadhouse.

Lenny Clarke, 8 p.m. Thurs. and Fri., 6 and 8 p.m. Sat., Comix Roadhouse, Mohegan Sun; $20-$45 for Thurs., $25-$55 for Fri. and Sat.; comixroadhouse.com.
