Funeral planned for victims of East Haven plane crash

New Haven (AP) — A funeral service is planned for two children killed when an airplane crashed into their Connecticut home.

The service for 13-year-old Sade Brantley and 1-year-old Madisyn Mitchell is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. on Friday at the Trinity Temple Church of God in Christ in New Haven. A viewing is scheduled for 9 a.m.

The girls' mother, Joann Mitchell, survived the Aug. 9 accident in East Haven.

The 10-seat plane crashed into two homes near Tweed-New Haven Airport during its approach. Also killed were the pilot, 54-year-old former Microsoft executive Bill Henningsgaard, and his 17-year-old son, Maxwell.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
