    Public tranportation is topic of state hearing in New London

    New London - The Connecticut Public Transportation Commission will host a hearing at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 22 in Council Chambers at City Hall to hear from the public, transportation providers, public officials and others about public transportation services, Dial-a-ride, ADA transportation and other issues.

    This will be the fourth and final hearing in a series of sessions around the state as the commission seeks input on whether existing services are meeting public needs and what improvements or new services are needed. Comments about the adequacy of rail, bus, motor carrier and other types public transportation are sought.

    The commission will use testimony from the hearings in preparing recommendations for its annual report to the governor, the commissioner of transportation and the Transportation Committee of the General Assembly.
