Police: Teen rescued from child prostitution ring

Windsor Locks (AP) — Connecticut and federal authorities say they've rescued a 16-year-old girl from a child prostitution ring spanning at least three states.

Law enforcement officials say the found the girl at a motel in Windsor Locks near Bradley International Airport. Police say she didn't appear to be physically harmed, but they weren't sure about her emotional state and she was evaluated at a hospital.

Police didn't announce any arrests. They say the investigation continues and officials are looking for other children in several states.

The FBI's Task Force for Missing and Exploited Children arranged for the girl to be returned to her family out of state.

Authorities learned about the multistate prostitution ring in December, and an investigation led them to the motel five days later.
