A 19-year-old man died from injuries sustained in a car crash early Tuesday morning in Waterbury, according to Waterbury Police.

The Waterbury Police Department responded to the area of 885 Watertown Ave. after 5 a.m. Tuesday for a reported two-car crash. Both drivers were transported to local hospitals following the collision.

One driver, 19, of Waterbury later died from injuries sustained in the crash at the hospital, according to police.

The other involved driver was transported for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

A parked vehicle was also hit and damaged in the crash, police said.

The crash is under investigation and a portion of Watertown Avenue was closed as police investigated. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at (203) 346-3975.
