A 22-year-old woman was killed in a rollover crash on Route 8 in Torrington on Wednesday morning, according to the Connecticut State Police.

Troopers from Troop B responded to the crash near Exit 46 on Route 8 south after 6 a.m. on Wednesday.

A Volkswagen Beetle driven by Paige Cianciolo of Torrington was traveling north on Route 8 near the New Street overpass. As she drove around the righthand curve in the road, Cianciolo lost control of the car and drove it into the median. The car rolled several times before stopping in the southbound portion of the highway, state police said.

According to state police, Cianciolo died from injuries sustained in the crash.
