DEEP RIVER — Authorities in Massachusetts arrested a suspect Saturday in connection with an investigation of a death in town, state police officials said.

Troopers began investigating the death shortly after 3:30 p.m. when they responded to a disturbance at a Deep River address and discovered a dead body, according to a brief four-sentence release from the Connecticut State Police.

Officials said a suspect in the investigation has been taken into custody by law enforcement in Massachusetts, but did not reveal how the person was linked to the death in Deep River.

Police said the investigation is ongoing. Officials have not yet released the identities of the deceased individual or the person in custody.
