Motorcyclist, passenger injured during CT United Ride
FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Police say a motorcyclist and passenger were injured in a crash during an event honoring those who lost their lives in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
The Connecticut Post reports that the crash happened Sunday at the CT United Ride.
Fairfield Police Lt. Robert Kalamaras says witnesses told police the motorcyclist lost control of the bike after hitting a pothole.
Police say the driver and passenger were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Police are investigating the crash.
About 2,000 motorcyclists participate in the annual ride honoring first responders and victims of the Sept. 11 attacks.
