    The Remote

    The Tonight Show

    with Jay Leno

11:35 p.m., NBCI'd say it was Jay's last "Tonight Show," except he's basically moving the show lock, stock and moldy old joke to prime time in the fall, so let's just say it's Jay's last 11:35 p.m., show. His guest is Conan O'Brien, who I'd say is taking over the "Tonight Show" gig (starts Monday) except yada, yada, yada. Also, James Taylor performs. Remember Johnny's last show? With Bette Midler singing "One More For My Baby." Cried my eyes out. This time, not so much.

    Mental

9 p.m., FoxThey are re-airing the pilot tonight, which is good because I missed it earlier in the week and some folks on my blog posted that they liked it. So I will check it out now.

    Dogtown

10 p.m., National GeographicI would seriously consider leaving my husband for Dr. Mike Dix, Dogtown's chief veterinarian. Well, not really, but you know what I mean. Man, I love that guy. Did you see the one last week when he removed the lab mix's lower jaw in a grueling eight-hour surgery? Fabulous. Tonight, all of Dogtown is put to the test when "nearly a thousand puppies are found abandoned in squalor in a West Virginia puppy mill. ... Dogtown springs into action, working to provide medical care and social skills necessary to prepare the dogs for new homes."
