UConn's Jeremy Lamb scored 35 points, including a baseline jumper with 1.5 seconds left in overtime, to lead the United States to a 107-105 victory over Lithuania on Tuesday in the second round of FIBA's Under 19 World Championship at Riga, Latvia.
The U.S. (5-0) led 94-86 with 37 seconds left in regulation, but Lithuania (3-2) tied the game at 94 on a goaltending call with 1.7 seconds to play. Florida's Patric Young had two three-point plays in the overtime, helping erase a six-point deficit for the U.S.
After Lamb's tie-breaking jumper Lithuania called a timeout, but missed a desperation 3-pointer.
