On July 26, 2014, Shoreline Roller Derby presents “Summer Shovin’”, a “Grease”-themed double-header bout at Galaxy Roller Rink, 210 Bridge Street, Groton, CT. In the first bout, SLRD’s Salty Broads meet Western Mass. Roller Derby. The second bout of the evening will feature SLRD’s BellaDonnas against the Upper Valley Vixens. Doors open at 5:00 p.m., with the first whistle at 6:00 p.m. Bring a chair. Limited chair rentals will be available on a first come, first served basis. Tickets are $12.00. $1.00 discount with a valid military identification. Children 10 and under get in free with a paying adult.

SLRD will also be holding a food drive during the Summer Shovin’ bout to benefit the United Way’s Southeastern Connecticut food center. Bring a nonperishable food item to the bout for a chance to win tickets to SLRD’s last home bout of the season! The more food items you bring, the more chances you have to win!
