On September 6th, Shoreline Roller Derby is teaming up with the United Way again to help kids get ready for school. With the help of their fans, they collected 134 pounds of food for the Gemma E. Moran Food Center at their last doubleheader. So now Shoreline is adding a school supply drive to their next event to continue helping out the community.

Skate Wars, a Star Wars themed doubleheader will happen at Galaxy Roller Rink. First, the Salty Broads are having a rematch against Strong Island Derby Revolution. The teams met in March with Strong Island getting the win, but months later, who will be the victor? Come to Skate Wars to find out.

The second bout will be a men’s game between the Connecticut Death Quads and Mass Maelstrom. Both match-ups will be action packed but if you haven’t seen a men’s bout yet, now is the time to check out some hard-hitting men’s derby.

The doors open at 5 and the first bout kicks off at 6. Bring a school supply or two to get in on our special raffles.
