Fire still raging in Israel

Residents of the fire-devastated community in northern Israel put out small blazes with hoses and pleaded with firefighters to save their homes. Negligence, not arson, appears to have caused the worst forest fire in Israel's history, police said Saturday.

Authorities have arrested two male minors in connection with the fire, police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said.
