A new act: Actors in concert at Wolf Den

Editor's note: Charles Esten's Saturday show has been postponed because of unsafe travel conditions. A new date has yet to be announced.

It’s a triple play of actors singing in concert this week at Mohegan Sun’s Wolf Den.

First up is an actor who does, in fact, sing on his hit TV show, “Nashville.” Charles Esten, who plays Deacon, hits the Wolf Den stage at 8 p.m. Saturday. And he’s certainly not new to being a vocalist: he played Buddy Holly in the musical “Buddy” in London. I expect he’ll perform some of the tunes he’s done on “Nashville” and its soundtracks — maybe “Sideshow” or “I Know How to Love You Now.”

On Sunday, the Wolf Den hosts a concert by Jill Hennessy, who started out as a musician before landing acting jobs on “Law & Order,” “Crossing Jordan,” and, more recently, on “The Good Wife” and “Madam Secretary.” She sang on the “Crossing Jordan” soundtrack — which was produced by T Bone Burnett — and she just released a new album, “I Do.” It’s full of engaging songs that call upon folk, pop and rock sounds.

And the third of our famous-as-actors-but-they-sing-too stars is Donny Most. The man best known as Ralph Malph on “Happy Days” gives a noon concert Monday at the Wolf Den. Most pays tribute to a certain style of music here — standards, swing and big band — and he’s titled the show “Donny Most Sings and Swings.”

Charles Esten, 8 p.m. Saturday, Mohegan Sun Wolf Den; free.

Jill Hennessy, 7 p.m. Sunday, Mohegan Sun Wolf Den; free.

Donny Most, noon Monday, Mohegan  Sun Wolf Den; free.
