Loni Love brings the funny at Comix at Mohegan Sun
Things to know about comic Loni Love:
1. When she was in high school, she worked on a GM assembly line. She became an electrical engineer and worked at Xerox before leaving to focus on stand-up full-time.
2. She was runner-up on 2003's "Star Search."
3. It's been lots of cool gigs since then: being a "Chelsea Lately" panelist, guesting as a DJ on Ellen DeGeneres' show, and co-hosting the Fox talk show "The Real." She's made it onto the Silver Screen, too, with her latest turn being a small role in the movie "Mother's Day" starring Julia Roberts, Jennifer Aniston and Jason Sudeikis.
She's also an author now; she wrote the 2013 book "Love Him Or Leave Him, But Don't Get Stuck with the Tab."
4. She's performing stand-up this weekend at Comix at Mohegan Sun. The show'll be a scream — guaranteed.
