Kala Farnham to preview new album on Day's "Live Lunch Break" program

    Kala Farnham (Mark Maksim)

Behold! The fall season of The Day's "Live Lunch Break" concerts — a much-revered series that's united and inspired our community for almost five years now — is upon us.

For the present, as long as the mellow weather holds, we're going to stay outdoors in New London's Hygienic Art Park. It's a perfect setting for the compelling, ethereal compositions of Kala Farnham — a two-time veteran of LLB who's readying the release of a brand new CD called "Samadhi: Home Is Where You Are." Hopefully, you'll hear tantalizing material from the recording — maybe tunes such as "Lyrical Letters" or "One Woman Tribe."

Show up hungry! Succulents from Kelly and the Parade Café kitchen will be available for purchase as well as wine, beer and other thirst-quenchers.

Live Lunch Break, noon Thursday, Hygienic Art Park, 79 Bank St., New London; free; theday.com/livelunch.
