"America's Got Talent" winner Darci Lynn Farmer hits Foxwoods

    Darci Lynne (Submitted)

Overachiever alert: Ventriloquist Darci Lynne Farmer won “America’s Got Talent” last year at the tender age of 12.

If she’s lucky, she’ll follow in the footsteps of another ventriloquist who won “America’s Got Talent,” Terry Fator, who has enjoyed quite a post-“Talent” career surge.

Fator happens to be one of Farmer’s idols, and she got to perform with him on “Talent,” where they dueted (she as her rabbit puppet Petunia, he as Winston the Impersonating Turtle) on “Anything You Can Do.”

In the wake of her “Talent” win, Farmer is out on tour, and she’ll perform two shows Saturday at Foxwoods. Fans can see if she’ll revive some of her more popular bits, such as having Petunia sing Gershwin’s “Summertime” and her puppet Edna Doorknocker put her spin on “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman.”

    Darci Lynne, 3 and 7 p.m. Saturday, Foxwoods’ Grand Theater; $27-$59; 1-800-200-2882.
