Here's a rundown from Saturday's practice at Gampel Pavilion:

UConn seniors Gavin Edwards, Jerome Dyson and Stanley Robinson talked about playing their final regular season home game against Louisville Sunday afternoon.

They all expect to have family, friends and relatives at today's game.

Edwards, who's from Gilbert, Ariz., had several members of his fan club on hand at practice. Some of his mom's family made the trip from Canada. She's from Manitoba.

"I don't think it's really going to hit me until tomorrow," Edwards said. "I'm just excited for it. I think it's going to be a good day for us."

Calhoun has a soft spot in his heart for all three players.

He regrets not red-shirting Edwards earlier in his career so the power forward could return next season.

"I do believe that he's got a really good basketball future ahead of him," Calhoun said. "And he's one of the nicest kids to ever come into the program."

Calhoun on Robinson: "Stanley is another guy who's just absolutely a terrific kid. ... I'll miss Stanley a great deal."

Calhoun placed Dyson on his all-tough team that also includes Kevin Freeman, Taliek Brown and Lyman DePriest.

"He's one of the better defenders that I've had," Calhoun said.

-- Senior Jonathan Mandeldove will not participate in Senior Day festivities. He's been sidelined this season for academic reasons. Calhoun decided to bring him back for next season.

"I invited him back for his fifth year," Calhoun said. "... He's going to try to get himself academically squared away."

-- Highly-regarded recruit Josh Selby had to reschedule his official visit for this weekend. No date has been set yet.

-- Senior walk-ons Alex Hornat of South Windsor and Kenny Borton of Bolton also will be honored today. Hornat takes his role as a practice player seriously.

"When we play well, I take a lot of pride in that," Hornat said. "When we don't, it hurts me. I just wonder what I could have done in practice to help our team more."

-- It's appropriate that often-injured Dyson spent the end of one of his last practices in the trainer's room receiving treatment on his sore ankles.

"I'm just trying to get them right for the game," Dyson said.

Dyson also said something funny about his assortment of injuries.

"We've started to name my injuries by the names of the teams," Dyson said.

So he has his Marquette ankle and his West Virginia ankle.

He also joked that he planned to take trainer James Doran with him when he leaves UConn.
