Peter Huoppi, The Day's director of multimedia, won two regional Emmy awards Saturday night at the 33rd Boston/New England Emmy Awards Ceremony at Gillette Stadium at Patriot Place in Foxboro, Mass.

Huoppi won an Emmy in the arts and entertainment category for his video "The Deaf Kid Who Played Rock 'n' Roll," which was reported by Joe Wojtas, and in the interview/discussion category for his video series "Stories of the Silent Service," which was reported by Jennifer Grogan. A video by Peter Huoppi and Karin Crompton of the Shenkman hostage crisis was nominated in the spot news category, but did not win.

TheDay.com and Boston.com were the only two newspaper-related Web sites among the nominees.

A complete list of nominees in all the categories can be found at http://newenglandemmy.org.
