Elsie Smith, of Brattleboro, Vt., performs acrobatic maneuvers high above the ground during an aerial fabric routine on The Parade in downtown New London on Saturday. Smith was one of several performers in the Nimble Arts Circus, which also included juggling, trapeze and a rola bola balancing act. Smith and her twin sister are aerialists who have performed around the world, including Cirque du Soleil's Saltimbanco and Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus.
