“Cook Backyard Project” In East Lyme, CT Judged As One Of The Nation’s Best

September 2010 -- The Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) recently announced that Sprigs & Twigs, Inc of Gales Ferry, CT was awarded the “2010 Environmental Improvement Distinction Award” for their work on the “Cook Backyard Project” in East Lyme, CT. This national award is in recognition of a superior project executed by landscape professionals and will be presented at the PLANET Green Industry Conference in Louisville, KY on October 29, 2010.

The project was designed by Linda K. Lillie and installed by Sprigs & Twigs, Inc an undertaking involving transforming the complete landscape by site grading, tree pruning and removal, stonework, the planting of over 200 plants, shrubs and trees and laying sod. Stonework was installed by Weber Masonry of Ledyard and an irrigation system was designed and installed by Shoreline Sprinklers, Inc of Westerly. Linda has more than 25 years of landscape design experience and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Botany from Connecticut College. She is also a graduate of the University of Connecticut Master Gardener Program. Bill, a Landscape Industry Certified Manager, has a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering; his specialties include project management, rainwater management and landscape installation.
