Beyond the soundbites you might've heard, those names mean something extra special to some of you, since, indeed, you've met them. When we queried readers for their personal celebrity photos, we received dozens of great candid shots with celebrities in the wild. One of you was brave enough to approach Johnny Knoxville!

What's particualrly great about these photos is the excitement on our readers' faces. Sure, we all think we'll be cool in the event we meet a famous person. But it's truly a thrill to see those shining stars in the flesh, acting like...real people! Based on my own celeb-spotting experience, I can report that it took me about 5 seconds to succumb to starry-eyed googliness. (I appreciate your kindness in the face of it, Steven Tyler and Neil Gaiman. The late Max Showalter was very nice, too.)
