Finizio: cop fired, another put on administrative leave

New London Mayor Daryl Justin Finizio announced a shakeup of the New London Police Department on Friday night that included the termination of a police officer and the release of a settlement with Chief Margaret Ackley.

Highlights:
00:04 - Capt. William Dittman and Capt. Michael Lacey have retired
01:01:17 - The city has reached a settlement agreement with Ackley
02:31:22 - Officer Joshua Bergeson has been fired in connection with a complaint that an intoxicated man at SCADD was beaten by police
03:38:07 - Officer Roger Newton has been placed on administrative leave in connection with a complaint that he planted evidence on a suspect.
