Whitney Cummings does stand-up at Foxwoods

    Whitney Cummings

It seemed that, all of a sudden, Whitney Cummings was everywhere.

In 2011, the comic's career seemed to accelerate from 0 to 100. She had her own much-hyped NBC sitcom (which, okay, hasn't done so well and hasn't been renewed for a second season yet). She co-created another sitcom, this one "2 Broke Girls" on CBS (which has been a hit, thank you very much).

And just last week, it was announced that she's getting her own talk show on E! titled "Love You, Mean It With Whitney Cummings." It'll air on Wednesday nights, starting in the fall.

She released a statement about the talk show that made a tweaking reference to her "Whitney" sitcom difficulties: "This show gives me a chance to get back to my stand-up roots. And I'm really excited to be able to say (almost) whatever I'd like on TV again. So thanks, E!"

    That's a slam, NBC!

Chelsea Handler, whose show Cummings often guested on as a panelist, is an executive producer on "Love You, Mean It With Whitney Cummings."

    - KRISTINA DORSEY

Whitney Cummings, 8 p.m. Saturday, Foxwoods' Fox Theater; $35-$60; 1-800-200-2882.
