East Lyme — U.S. Rep. Joe Courtney will host a Veterans Career Fair at Camp Niantic on Aug. 29, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. More than 17 businesses that are hiring have committed to attend the fair inside Nett Hall, 271 West Main St., Niantic, including Electric Boat, Westminster Tool, Cumulus Broadcasting, Mohegan Sun, Bell Power, ESPN and the Norwich Police Department. In addition to providing job seekers and businesses with information on veterans hiring tax credits and federal resources, staffers from Courtney’s office, the Connecticut Department of Veterans Affairs and VA Healthcare will be at the fair to help constituents with casework requests.
