Follow in the footsteps of Abraham Lincoln during a walking tour in downtown Norwich on Saturday, Oct. 13, at 1 p.m. (Raindate is the next day, at the same time.)

Participants will trace the steps of President Lincoln upon his visit to the city on March 9, 1860. City Historian Dale Plummer will guide walkers on the one-mile, one-hour tour of key locations where Lincoln stopped to talk, sleep and address residents.

This event is part of Norwich's observance of the 150th anniversary of the Civil War, which will culminate with a city-wide commemoration on Jan. 1 marking the sesquicentennial of the Emancipation Proclamation.
