Waterford police say motorcycle run may snarl traffic Sunday

Waterford — Police advise of possible traffic congestion Sunday afternoon in the area of the Speedbowl on Route 85 to Camp Harkness on Route 213 during a group motorcycle ride.

The charity “Gift Run” will begin to assemble at the Speedbowl for a 1 p.m. start Sunday. The motorcyclists will continue to Cross Road south to Route 1, then south to Route 213. The ride will end at Camp Harkness around 2 p.m., police said, but motorists should be aware of motorcyclists and possible congestion during the race.

The event originally was scheduled for Nov. 2, but was postponed due to Hurricane Sandy. For informaiton call Waterford Police at (860) 442-9451.
