    Foxwoods, Sun executives depart

Two high-level executives have left Foxwoods Resort Casino and Mohegan Sun.

Todd Greenberg, Foxwoods' chief operating officer, has left "to pursue other interests," Scott Butera, Foxwoods' president and chief executive officer, said Monday in a message to other Foxwoods executives, while a Mohegan Sun spokeswoman confirmed Tuesday that Brian Bork, Mohegan Sun's chief marketing officer, had recently decided to leave the Uncasville casino.

"We have devised a strong interim plan for the departments directly affected by this change. …" Butera said of Greenberg's leaving. "Please know that we remain keenly focused on our vision for the success of Foxwoods."

Foxwoods is reorganizing its workforce, a process that involves the elimination of an unspecified number of jobs.

Greenberg was elevated to the COO's position in August 2011, six months after his hiring as senior vice president, a post in which he oversaw the Mashantucket Pequot Gaming Enterprise's gaming operations.

The tribal enterprise operates Foxwoods, including MGM Grand at Foxwoods.

As COO, Greenberg had responsibility for all aspects of the enterprise's operations.

Bork, named Mohegan Sun's CMO last August, oversaw the casino's marketing, advertising and entertainment.

Earlier this year, Foxwoods' chief marketing officer, Rebecca Carr, left the casino. At the time, Butera said Foxwoods planned to fill Carr's position and that he and Greenberg would handle marketing duties in the interim.

Carr had been hired in November 2011.
