Mystic bridgework

Craig Stockwell, an ironworker with contractor Cianbro, grinds the rough edges from a notch cut in the handrail Wednesday on the Mystic River Drawbridge for a pedestrian gate. Workers are in the final stages of a three-year project slated to be substantially complete by Friday. The bridge is closed 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and again tomorrow for final clearing and testing.
