Art in Motion and Mystic Ballet

Looking ahead: This summer, Mystic Ballet will perform at the esteemed Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival in Becket, Mass., and at an international ballet gala in South America. First, though, the group will stage those same works Saturday in Art in Motion at Mystic Stage.

Of 'Swan' and 'Sun': The pieces are Sergei Vanaev's contemporary version of Swan Lake's Act II; Lauren Edson's "Sun and Steel," which was performed this past winter in Japan and at the Salvatore Capezio Theater in New York; and Brian Enos's "The Watcher," which, Mystic Ballet says, "examines the beauty of life's relationships, celebrations, and uncertainties."

That's the ticket: Mystic Ballet is offering 75 discount tickets for the peformance, thanks to support from Connecticut's Department of Economic Development. Those tickets are $10 for students, seniors and members of the military, and $15 for the general public. (Regular tickets run $26 to $36.) Call (860) 536-3671.
