New London – City police temporarily have closed off the Water Street entrance ramp to Interstate 95 tonight to investigate a crash that sent a motorcyclist to the hospital.

Police remained at the scene at 9 p.m. They were called out earlier for reports of a motorcycle that had crashed into the guardrails. The patient was taken by ambulance to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital for unknown injuries.
