NFA wins ECC boys' basketball tournament

Waterford - No. 4 seed Norwich Free Academy captured the Eastern Connecticut Conference boys' basketball tournament title, beating No. 3 Woodstock Academy 58-54 in Friday night's final.

Desmond D'Elia-Miller led NFA (18-6) with 21 points and teammate and tournament most valuable player Marcus Outlow scored 19. NFA's Mike Ryan made the all-tournament team along with Outlow and D'Elia-Miller. Ryan had 10 points, seven rebounds and blocked three shots and Ramel Williams had eight assists for the Wildcats.
