New London — Members of the New London High School DECA team will hold a car wash this Saturday to raise money to send two NLHS seniors to the International Career Development Conference (ICDC) in Atlanta in May.

Soontorn “Torry” Miller and Dhruv Patel qualified to attend the conference after they placed first and second, respectively, in their disciplines at DECA’s state conference in March.

DECA is an international high school and collegiate organization that focuses on preparing emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management.

The car wash will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at New London High School on Jefferson Avenue. The price is $10 per car.

“Winning at DECA is unreal,” Miller said in a statement. “It will be an honor to not only represent ourselves but also our city, school and families at ICDC.”

I'm feeling lucky. I predict both men's and women's national titles.
The men are lucky to have made it this far. I don't know if they can win against Florida again.
No matter how the men do, we can count on the women to bring home a national title.
The men have the momentum to win and the drive to prove themselves after not being able to compete last year.
I'm more interested in the start of baseball season.
