Stonington - A public informational meeting on the proposed update to the town's Plan of Conservation and Development will be held June 30 at 7 p.m. at Stonington High School.
The purpose of the meeting is to receive feedback from residents and groups on the direction and recommendations of the draft plan.
According to a press release from the subcommittee that developed the plan, the draft is the result of public input through meetings, a questionnaire completed by more than 700 people and input from boards and commissions.
The plan guides the future of the town for the next 10 years. A public hearing will be held later this year when the Planning and Zoning Commission prepares to adopt the plan. The draft is available at www.stonington-ct.gov or in the Department of Planning.
Written comments can also be sent to Town Planner Keith A. Brynes, at firstname.lastname@example.org, or mailed to the 2014 POCD Subcommittee, c/o Stonington Department of Planning, 152 Elm St., Stonington, CT 06378.
