Atlanta - The Connecticut Sun continue their three-game road trip today and will do so without starting All-Star guard Allison Hightower.

Connecticut plays the Atlanta Dream tonight at 7 at Georgia Tech's McCamish Pavilion in a nationally televised game on ESPN2.

Hightower will have an arthroscopic debridement procedure on her left knee today and is expected to be miss 2-3 weeks. She had missed four games after injuring the knee during a June 12 game against the Phoenix Mercury and played sparingly the last four games.

The Sun have also been without reserve guard Danielle McCray, who had surgery to repair a torn ligament in her right thumb on June 26. She'll be out another 4-6 weeks.

Connecticut (9-10) signed 6-foot guard Briana Gilbreath-Butler to a seven-day contract on Monday to make up for the loss of both guards. Gilbreath-Butler was chosen 35th overall (third round) by the Washington Mystics in the 2012 draft out of Southern Cal, but was waived during training camp. She played 11 games for the Phoenix Mercury during the 2012 season and averaged 4.4 points and 3.2 rebounds in 34 games for them last season.

She was one of the last cuts Phoenix made before the start of this season.

Atlanta (12-5) is the only team in the Eastern Conference with a winning record. The Sun beat the Dream in their only other meeting this season, 85-76 on June 1.

Angel McCoughtry has averaged 19.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 2.31 steals for the Dream. Erika de Souza is shooting 61 percent from the floor and averaging 15.9 points, 9.6 rebounds and 1.71 blocks while Sancho Lyttle (11.9 ppg) and former UConn star Tiffany Hayes (10.9 ppg) are Atlanta's other top scorers.
