Norwich — It’s almost August, so it’s time to start thinking about the Norwich winter festival.
The Norwich Winterfest Parade Committee has launched its annual contest to select a theme for this year’s Winterfest Parade, to be held Nov. 29 in downtown Norwich. The winning entry will receive $200 and will be invited to participate in the parade.
Contestants should submit their theme suggestions, names, physical address, email address if available and a contact phone number by the Aug. 31 deadline.
Email entries to firstname.lastname@example.org or fax to (860) 889-4740. Watch for more details about the winter festival activities and how to participate with the announcement of the winning theme.
The winning theme will be chosen by the Norwich Winterfest Parade Committee at its meeting on Sept. 4. The winning entrant will be notified by Sept. 12.
The winning entrant can choose to participate in the festivities or designate another person. Employees of the City of Norwich and their family members are not eligible.
