Targeting of young, black men must stop
Here we go again! I guess arresting someone and putting them in handcuffs is not the way to go. It seems we have returned to the wild, wild west. You know, shoot first and ask question later. This is especially true if the one involved is a black man. I thought after the Trayvon Martin incident, America would have turned over a new leaf. Yet, here we go again. Case in point an 18-year-old black man, Michael Brown, a teenager with a bright future, is no longer here because a police officer in Ferguson, Mo. has gone back in time by shooting first and asking questions later.
The facts: Mr. Brown was young, unarmed and black. I'm sure you've heard that before. When will it end? How many more young black men must die? How many more parents will suffer burying their children before their time?
Police are supposed to protect and serve, not shoot and destroy. I've had enough. Trayvon Martin's parents have had enough. Michael Brown's parents have had enough. This is 2014. Let's wake up, before it's too late.
