State police plan K-9 memorial dedication

Middletown — Connecticut State Police Wednesday will dedicate a new memorial celebrating 80 years of service by Connecticut State Police K-9 teams.

The K-9 memorial dedication will be held at 11 a.m. at state police headquarters, at 1111 Country Club Road in Middletown.

Lt. Gov. Nancy Wyman is expected to join Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection Commissioner Dora B. Schriro, Col. Brian Meraviglia, Lt. Col. Warren Hyatt and members of the state police.

More than 500 state police K-9 teams have served in Connecticut.
