UConn junior Omar Calhoun suffered an injury to his right knee during practice on Sunday.
An MRI taken Monday revealed that he has a MCL sprain. He will likely be sidelined for at least a week or so, according to UConn.
It's a tough break for the guard.
Calhoun came into preseason camp in great shape. He's determined to bounce back from a miserable sophomore season during which he gradually fell out of the rotation and couldn't shake a terrible shooting slump.
This is the second straight preseason that he's dealing with health issues. He had off-season surgery on both hips following his freshman year.
