NEWTOWN, Conn. (AP) — Folk singer Peter Yarrow and groups including one comprised of children from Newtown plan to perform a music and spoken work concert to support the Sandy Hook Promise organization.

Sunday's concert "Within Our Reach" will be broadcast live from the Newtown Congregational Church on WPKN-FM and WXCI-FM. It also will be rebroadcast on WMNR-RM.

Jim Allyn, who directs the Newtown Youth Voices choir, says the idea is to share a message of hope and healing from Newtown as the holiday season gets underway.

The concert comes almost two years after the December 14, 2012, shooting at the Sandy Hook Elementary School, which killed 20 first-graders and six educators.
