    Post-game breakdown: Duke

UConn's offense is in serious need of a tune-up.

The Huskies sputttered their way to just 56 points on Thursday night at the Izod Center.

It wasn't enough to beat No. 2 Duke, which posted a 66-56 victory.

Coach Kevin Ollie used 10 players, only five scored points. The Huskies shot 42.6 percent.

Sophomore Amida Brimah picked up his first foul 12 seconds into the game and disappeared. After scoring a career-high 40 points on 13-for-13 shooting in Sunday's rout of Coppin State, he went scoreless in 13 minutes and missed his only attempt before fouling out.

Sam Cassell Jr., who was a recruited to fill the sharpshooter's role, never got off the bench in the second half. He missed his only shot in four minutes.

Junior Omar Calhoun, who finally returned from a sprained MCL, missed all three shots in his first game of the season.

Senior Ryan Boatright remains the only reliable offensive weapon. He finished with a game-high 22 points.

"Boatright is the best guard we've played against thus far," Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski said. "He has great heart, a winner. I thought we did a decent job on him and he still scored a lot of points."

Sophomores Kentan Facey (14 points) and Daniel Hamilton (10) also hit double figures. Rodney Purvis added eight.

The Huskies were shot clock killers. They dribbled, dribbled, dribbled away possessions. They had a season-low five assists and 14 turnovers.

Several times a frustrated Kevin Ollie unleashed his anger while watching UConn bog down on the halfcourt.

In three of the last four games, UConn has scored no more than 54 points. It lost all three games.
