Nancy Pelosi and John Boehner share a tender moment.

I still laugh when I see the picture, which I will savor for a long time, of our House leaders "embracing" (Jan. 7).

I wonder about the exchange of conversation.

Nancy Pelosi: "Get away from me!"

John Boehner: "Oh, pucker up or I'll hit you with my gavel."

This odd coupling has to be enjoyable for everyone with a little sense of humor. This "new Democrat" is right there.
