New London police to hold community forum Wednesday

New London — Command staff from the police department will be on hand to talk about current events in the city and take questions from the public Wednesday during a community meeting.

Acting Police Chief Peter Reichard said the meeting is a continuation of forums started last summer to engage members of the community. The idea was spearheaded by Reichard, City Councilor Erica Richardson, Capt. Todd Bergeson and Capt. Brian Wright.

The meeting will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the library at Bennie Dover Jackson Middle School.
