Connecticut Saves week starts on Monday
Connnecticut Saves Week kicks off Monday and runs through the end of the month.
Gov. Dannel P. Malloy designated the period as a time when residents can assess and improve their personal finances and financial security.
"Payroll deduction, college savings and retirement plans are just a few examples of ways to save and remain on solid ground," said Acting state Banking Commissioner Bruce Adams.
The state banking department, noting Feb. 23-28 is also Military Saves Week, has a website at www.ct.gov/dob that includes a section dedicated to consumer information and education. For further information, contact the agency's outreach coordinator at (860) 240-8176.
