Our blooming local music scene is full of excellent Americana, indie and garage rock bands - and we've enjoyed featuring many of them on The Day's "Live Lunch Break" concert series. It's always fun, as well, when jazz artists stop by. On Thursday in New London's Telegraph Records Shop, The Mike Casey-Corey Garcia Jazz Duo played an invigorating and chops-happy set of post-bop and blues before a delighted crowd. Students at the Jackie McLean Institute of Jazz in Hartford's Hartt School, drummer Garcia and saxophonist Casey provided a tantalizing look at Jazz Future.
