Drown a snowman, welcome spring

The Connecticut Southeast Group of the Sierra Club will host "Drown the Snowman," an event to welcome spring at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18, at the Nautilus Lounge at New London's Ocean Beach Park.

Activities will include drowning a snowman in effigy in Long Island Sound and poetry readings by attendees. Admission is $17 and includes a light supper. Reservations must be made by March 8. For information or to make reservations, call (860) 444-8916.
