Lyme school hosts inaugural golf tournament

Lyme Consolidated School PTO will host its first golf tournament on May 14 at Fox Hop Yard Golf Course in East Haddam. There will be a barbecue lunch and a shotgun start at noon and several contests on the greens. Reynolds Subaru of Lyme has offered a new Subaru to any golfer who makes a hole-in-one that day. The festivities will continue from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at “On the Rocks” at the golf course for a silent auction, awards and cash bar.

A single-player registration is $150. Non-golfing guests can also attend the 19th hole event and silent auction for $50. The PTO also is looking for silent auction items and volunteers. Contact Josh Grenier at the lymepto@gmail.com.

Net proceeds from the tournament will go to the PTO.
