Norwich — State police on Wednesday arrested a Taftville woman they said falsely accused her ex-boyfriend and a state trooper of sexually assaulting her in an attempt to regain custody of her son.

Alvina C. Molocko, 30, of 56 South A St., was charged with making a false statement after she turned herself in to police at Troop E in Montville.

According to an affidavit, Molocko made more than 50 allegations against the ex-boyfriend and the trooper via handwritten notes attached to a document she submitted to a civil court.

Police said Molocko never made a criminal complaint regarding the allegations to any agency.

When detectives investigating Molocko's allegations interviewed Molocko Jan. 21, she repeated her allegations, provided dates for the alleged assaults and said each one began with one of the men calling the other, according to the affidavit.

Without police reports or physical evidence and with no record of phone calls between the two men on the dates of the alleged abuse, police were unable to substantiate Molocko's claims, the affidavit states.

On April 8, detectives conducted a follow-up interview with Molocko, during which time she said in a written statement that her allegations weren't true and that she'd made them up in hopes it would help her get custody of her son, according to the affidavit.

Records show Molocko was convicted of second-degree threatening and second-degree harassment in 2013 and was convicted of fourth-degree larceny and third-degree forgery in 2014.

Molocko, released on a $2,500 nonsurety bond, is scheduled to appear in Norwich Superior Court May 25.
