Preston -- A man was killed Sunday afternoon when his bicycle was struck by a car backing out of his driveway.

According to state police, a Ford Escape driven by Maureen Macy, 53, was backing out of a driveway at 6 Wheeler Farm Road at 12:19 p.m. when it struck a bicycle ridden by her husband, Andrew Macy, 63, of the same address. Andrew Macy was taken to The William W. Backus Hospital where he later died.
